With over 20 years’ experience, Isla has a gift for turning client briefs into beautiful, high-impact graphic design. She enjoys taking projects from brief through to production and has a deep understanding of print and online technologies. Isla is also a real people-person and enjoys working closely with copywriters, photographers and illustrators.
As well as being a talented graphic designer, Isla is a well-respected artist, known for her contemporary glass artworks. Having an artist’s eye gives Isla a fresh, unique perspective on graphic design. Whether she’s laying out a website or designing a new logo, Isla’s work combines style and practicality – it looks great and it works hard!
Isla spent 12 years as a senior designer in London before returning to New Zealand in 2007 to have a family. She holds a Graphic Design Diploma from UCol and a post-graduate diploma in Technology from Massey University.
Wearing glass started as a part time creative adventure and has developed into a passion for glass jewellery. And because every bit of glass is individually lampworked, each piece of jewellery is unique. A refreshing change in a market saturated by mass produced replicas.
The collection of stunning glass jewellery ranges from funky earrings and pendants, to one of a kind hand-blown glass necklaces. All beautifully crafted in Isla’s Grey Lynn studio.

Isla supports the Child Cancer Foundation by donating beads to the Beads of Courage programme. Beads of Courage provides a physical story of a child’s journey recognising their strength and courage during their cancer journey. Each bead represents a treatment (for example chemotherapy, injections, scans); an experience (hair loss, isolation, fever) or milestone (completion of treatment).
